POLICE are appealing to concert goers for information on an attempted break in over the weekend.
A woman returning from the Take That concert at Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Saturday evening disturbed a thief breaking into a neighbour's car in Darlington.
The man left the scene, in Beech Rise, off Barmpton Lane, at about 1.30am on Sunday morning, running in the direction of Whinfield Primary School.
Nothing was stolen during the break in but police believe others returning from the concert may have witnessed the man as he fled the scene.
He is described as white, about 5ft 5in tall, in his late teens, wearing a shower-proof top with red or white triangular shapes, with short mousy-coloured hair.
Anyone with any information should contact PC Jonathan Stoker by calling 0345-60-60-365, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
