A 90-YEAR-OLD celebrated her birthday in style when she frolicked in a soft play area with her young family.

Anne Jennings, who turned 90 on Monday, held a birthday party with her family at Joegio's Italian restaurant, in Northgate, Darlington the day before.

As well as the meal, Mrs Jennings, from Darlington, belied her age, by playing in the soft play area with children from the family.

Linda Forster, from the restaurant, said: "We do get a range of parties, including older birthday parties, hen nights and stag parties.

"The three generations had fun, climbing, crawling and sliding together."
