A FREE conference for parents and carers of children with special educational needs will be held next month.
Workshops on a variety of topics, including living with challenging behaviour, transition to adult health services, bullying, and sexual health for adolescents with disabilities, will be available.
The event has been organised by the North East Parent Partnership Service and will be held at the Oakwood Centre in Eaglescliffe, on June 18, from 9.30am to 2.45pm.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided and there will be creche facilities.
Places are free for parents and carers of children with special needs, but must be booked in advance by contacting Kerry Ford on 01325-54484 or e-mailing kerry.ford@darlington.gov.uk for an application form.
People who work with children with special needs can also attend - tickets for professionals are £50 from Kerry Ford.
