The row over the on loan strikers' eligibility rumbles on so Dave Penney must do without the pair for the televised game at Spotland.
Quakers make on change with Tim Ryan dropping out of the line-up and is replaced by David Poole.
Poole is to play on the wing with Rob Purdie dropping back to full-back.
Included among the subs for Darlington is youth team midfielder Danny Groves.
In the Rochdale line-up are former Darlington players Clark Keltie and Adam Rundle while Sam Russell is on the bench.
