AN award-winning snooker club will run one of its annual beer festivals next week when 20 beers are expected to be on tap.

Darlington Snooker Club, which has one the Campaign for Real Ale North-East club of the year for five successive years, will run its next festival from April 16 to 20.

It is one of two festivals that the club, on the corner of Northgate and Corporation Road, Darlington, runs every year.

Licensee Peter Everett said: "It is the usual beer festival with 20 more beers on the taps.

"We are inviting people to come along and have some fun and know that we are still here.

"I dont know what the beers are until they arrived but there will be coming from all over the country. I will also have one possibly two ciders on."

Entry to the festival is free. It runs from 7pm on April 16, and from 11am on the other three days.
