DOGS TRUST Darlington is looking for a home for its latest four-legged friend.

Rowland is a two-year-old greyhound/collie cross who came into the care of Dogs Trust Darlington in February 2018, after being found straying.

A Dogs Trust spokesman said: “Rowland is a beautiful boy, who is very loving and adores people, although he can be sensitive at times.

“He has not had the easiest start in life; not only was he left to fend for himself at the age of just six months old, he has also had to recover from surgery to his rear left leg. Sadly, this required a full limb amputation, which he had at the start of 2020, and he is now making a great recovery.

“Rowland is getting used to life with three legs and is on light exercise at the. He spends much of his time in the office as he likes human company and he is very well behaved. He is just happy to lie on his cosy bed with his toys and have a lazy day.”

Rowland is just one of more than 65 dogs currently looking for a home at the centre and in foster care. Call 01325-638143, visit the website or email Darlington@dogstrust.org.uk
