DARLINGTON will wear a hooped shirt next season after all.
It has won a poll created after some fans expressed disappointment that a hooped shirt was not one of four initial options for next season.
Some Quakers fans welcomed the move away from hoops, one the team has worn regularly since 2004. However, Darlington scarcely used hoops shirts during the 50 years prior to 2004.
On Thursday the winner of the first four options went head-to-head against a hooped shirt, with the latter option receiving 56.7 per cent of the votes cast.
Unlike the current season, the rear of the winning shirt will not feature hoops, instead it will have a plain white back. It will be worn with black shorts and white socks.
A club statement read: “Details of the availability of the 2020-21 kit will be announced when circumstances permit.”
