A TEN-year-old from Darlington is the proud winner of a top gymnastics competition.
Kelsey Garbutt won the regional Northern England gymnastics competition in Newcastle, last month.
Kelsey beat the best of the region's talent to qualify for the Great Britain training squad next month.
Kelsey has previously had successes in other competitions, including the Alpha Factor National at the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics. Twenty-eight of the highest standard of competitors from around the country were there, and Kelsey managed to come away with a bronze medal.
Kelsey's mother, Lorraine, said that although she is naturally talented she is also very dedicated to the sport.
Ms Garbutt said: "There isn't anything else that Kelsey wants to do. She practises 25 hours a week,
"Gymnastics is her only future ambition."
Kelsey will next compete in another national tournament next month.
