NURSERY children collected harvest gifts to deliver to residents at a pensioners' housing complex.
Toddlers from Ferndene Nursery, in Darlington, collected a variety of goods to present harvest festival gifts to residents of the Sir ED Walker Homes.
The children collected fresh fruit and vegetables, dried fruit and tinned and packet food.
Older children at the nursery in Elton Parade, walked to the home, in Coniscliffe Road, yesterday, to deliver their harvest gifts.
It is an annual tradition at the nursery, which looks after about 60 youngsters, aged from eight weeks to four years old, to teach them about giving.
