SIXTY students have helped raise funds for sports equipment by taking part in 12 hours of sport.
The year eight and nine pupils from Hummersknott School, Darlington, started their sport marathon at 8am.
They each took part in 12 sports, including football, hockey, cross-country relay, table tennis, volleyball, netball, rounders and basketball.
Twelve hours later, they were tired, but proud of their achievement. Although the sponsorship money is still being collected, it is hoped the pupils will raise more than £1,000.
The money will be used to pay for match transport and buy extra sports equipment.
