BELLY dancing, tai chi and indoor kurling were just some of the activities tried by Darlington's over 50s at an event to promote health and well-being.
Growing Older Living in Darlington (Gold) organised the event to give people over 50 a stronger voice in the community.
More than 200 visitors to the event, held at Darlington stadium, sampled a range of alternative therapies, including head massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and iridology.
Other activities included belly dancing, tai chi and kurling.
Gold project manager Stephen Yeardley said: "This is the third time that Gold has staged a positive health day and, every year the event gets bigger and better.
"We provide lots of useful information for older people on various complementary therapies and activities that are available to them within Darlington and give them a chance to try them out.
"All the therapists here have given their time and services for free and we hope that they will help people become more aware of how they can look after themselves in a healthier way which will enable them to stay independent for longer.
