A DYNAMIC duo of young fundraisers showed their festive spirit when they organised a whole host of treats to show their support for people struggling with homelessness.

Evelyn, eight, and her four-year-old brother Felix, set up stall on their drive with cakes, mince pies and mulled wine and tempted villagers in Hurworth Place to show their festive spirit and donate to Shelter – a charity which campaigns to end homelessness and bad housing..

Mum Helen Bethell said: "We managed to raise £200, whilst having an amazing time with a great turn out.

"We also have approximately 18 boxes of mince pies and two bottles of Mulled wine left over to give to the food bank."

To get the ball rolling, the fundraising youngsters managed to secure 260 mince pies from Aldi, two bottles of mulled wine from Morrisons, some gift vouchers from Sainsbury's and Tesco which they are going to use to buy more mulled wine, paper cups from Costa and napkins from Wilkinsons.
