HEALTH experts descended on Darlington last week as skin cancers came under the microscope.
At the first Darlington Primary Care Trust dermoscopy seminar, more than 70 delegates, including nurses, GPs and consultant dermatologists from across the North-East visited the dermatology and minor surgery service in Doctor Piper House.
Dermoscopy is a diagnostic technique used increasingly in the identification and diagnosis of skin lesions.
The seminar looked at the technique and use of the dermatoscope, a magnifying instrument used by specialists to help distinguish between benign and malignant lesions of the skin.
