The ability and skills of Darlington Reserves proved too much for Jarrow when the sides met in the Newton Moor Durham Challenge Cup at Perth Green.
It was a stroll in the park for the visitors who ended emphatic 11-1 winners with goals by Shaun Reay (3), Ollie Moss (2), Patrick Collins (2), Scott Hunter (2), Dan Riley and Liam O'Mahoney. Keith Hallway scored Jarrow's consolation.
Coxhoe Athletic, who have won just once in the Wearside League, went through 4-1 at Silksworth Community with two goals apiece from David Alderson and Andrew Soppitt.
Gary Tyzack was the home side's only marksman. Harton and Westoe slumped to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Northern Alliance side Peterlee Town for whom Derek Bradley (2), Carl Lily, David Howe and Paul Callan found the net. Alex Patton netted for the home team. Hartlepool progressed against Cleadon SC when Chris Archer bagged a brace of goals following Evan Graham's effort for the home side, while Wolviston won 3-1 on penalties at Annfield Plain after the teams had shared in a goal-less draw.
New Marske remain top of the table despite being held to a draw by Guisborough Black Swan. Alex Anderson netted with Chris Lunn equalising for Black Swan.
Whitehaven go second after a victory over Ryhope CW. Craig Robson, with a hat-trick, and Gary Connelly enabled the Cumbrians to win 4-2 with Michael Rawlinson and Kevin Barnes the Ryhope scorers. Teesside Athletic saw off the challenge from East Durham United who have yet to win.
Dean McEwan (og) and Ben Walker were the marksmen. Willington came from behind to defeat Easington Colliery who led at the halfway stage courtesy of Brian Gott (og) and Chris Tarn.
It was not until the 76th minute that Anthony Bussey reduced the deficit and two goals in as many minutes from Andrew Howard just before the end sealed the Colliers' fate.
After failing to convert a penalty, Boldon CA suffered, losing to Windscale for whom Andrew McDonald scored the only goal.
