A DARLINGTON artist is hoping his exhibition will bring a splash of colour to a Teesdale town.
Lee Hutchinson's collection of about 80 canvasses and 50 computer generated prints will be on show at Witham Hall, in Barnard Castle, from tomorrow until next Saturday.
Mr Hutchinson, 35, hopes his work will be a welcome change for visitors to the Witham Hall.
"I think a lot of paintings in Teesdale are watercolours whereas my style is surrealism in a sense," he said.
"A lot of my pieces are abstract landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and street scenes.
"Some of the computer generated stuff has been put onto canvass and some of them are small prints."
Mr Hutchinson, a full-time graphic designer and photographer, has exhibited in Darlington in the past.
"I've always done art and design. Even when I was a child at school, the teachers just used to put me at the back of the class with paints and let me do my own thing. They encouraged me."
