A SIX-year-old girl has been named as one of the regional winners in a national painting competition.
A painting of the seaside by Hannah Raw, a pupil at Polam Hall School, in Darlington, was selected in the four to seven age category of the third annual Sightsavers International Junior Painter of the Year Awards.
The painting will be exhibited in a gallery on London's South Bank, between October 10 and 14.
Junior school headteacher Angela Foster said: "Everyone at Polam Hall is extremely proud of Hannah and we are looking forward to seeing how her artistic talent grows as she progresses through the school."
