A DAD'S Army tribute is still going ahead, its organiser has insisted - despite promotional posters being ripped down.
Josie Collins, who is organising the convention, believes people are trying to sabotage the event, which is due to take place next month. However, she insists the show will go on.
Mrs Collins and fellow organisers have signed up actors Frank Williams, who played the vicar, Scott Frederick, and Ian Lavender, who played Pike.
The Durham Light Infantry Museum will send members dressed as the cast from the BBC programme and military vehicles from the Forties.
The latest guest to accept is writer Dean Wilkinson, from Ingleby Barwick, who wrote gags for Timmy Mallet, and Ant and Dec.
The convention will also feature five actors who appeared in Robots of Death, a famous Dr Who story, in a tribute to Peter Tuddenham, who performed voice-overs in the show.
Terry Connor, an Elvis impersonator, will perform.
There will also be an auction featuring a signed script of the final Only Fools and Horses episode.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 6, and Sunday, October 7, at the Dolphin Centre.
Tickets are available at In Arcadia, Skinnergate, Darlington. Phone 01325-483637.
