TWO adventurous students have returned from an outdoor experience week, after passing their exams.
Katie Zissler and Rachael Watson, who completed their studies at Darlington's Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College earlier in the year, went on the trip after winning Rotary Youth leadership awards.
Recommended by the college, Darlington Rotary Club nominated the girls for the awards, and they joined 24 other young people from across the region for the course, in Weardale.
Activities included orienteering, archery, paintballing and an overnight expedition, all designed to develop and enhance leadership skills.
Miss Zissler said: "We both gained a lot from the course and felt privileged to have been given such a great opportunity."
