DARLINGTON continued their impressive start to the season with victory over Lincoln City.

Saturday's 2-0, courtesy of Pawell Abbott and Ricky Ravenhill goals, extends Darlington's unbeaten start to the season to six games.

And it was fully deserved against the Imps, who were second best for much of the afternoon.

After Quakers squandered a host of first half chances they finally took a 34th minute lead through Abbott.

Imps keeper Alan Marriott failed to collect under pressure from the impressive Tommy Wright and Abbott volleyed home first time for his fourth goal of the season.

And it took Quakers just 43 seconds of the second half to double their advantage, Ravenhill firing home.

Julian Joachim was denied late on by Marriott's near post save.

The win takes Quakers back to the top of the League Two table, overtaking Chesterfield, who won at Mansfield earlier in the day.
