CHILDREN at a village school held a day of activities to celebrate author Roald Dahl's birthday.
The pupils at Hurworth Primary School dressed as their favourite characters from the late writer's novels.
Teacher Dominique Petch said: "We decided to hold a celebration to mark what would have been Roald Dahl's 91st birthday.
"Everyone dressed up as his characters and we even made our own Marvelous Medicine with different fruit juices. The children still love Roald Dahl because he wrote such a fantastic variety of books."
