OLDER residents are being invited to discover more about leading a healthy lifestyle at an event this month.
The Positive Health Day has been organised by the Growing Older Living in Darlington (Gold) group, which aims to give people aged over 50 a stronger voice in the community.
The event takes place on Wednesday, September 26, at the Darlington FC stadium, on Neasham Road.
The day will be split into two sessions, from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm, with visitors offered advice on how to improve their diet and exercise.
In the Ron Greener Suite, there will be health-related information stands and blood pressure checks.
There will be demonstrations of different exercises, from tai chi and curling to belly dancing.
Free taster sessions of alternative therapies such as reiki, reflexology and head massage will also be available.
