CHILDREN at a Darlington primary school have compiled a time capsule to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their school.
The youngsters, from Abbey Junior School, decided to collect items for a time capsule through their student council. The whole school was invited to put items inside the capsule, either something personal, or predictions for the future.
Photographs of special school events, the school jumper and personal writings by pupils of the school were included in the capsule, which will be built into the foundations of the school's new sports hall.
Teacher Nancy Hull said: "It was a challenge, but we have ended up with good items in the capsule.
