YOUNG people who want to make a difference to life in Darlington are invited to a meeting this weekend.
Following its relaunch at Darlington FC last month, the T3 group is holding its first meeting on Saturday.
T3 is the new name for the Voice and Action Group, which is run with help from the council's youth service.
The group, made up of elected members from secondary school councils, youth forums, youth groups and other organisations, aims to give local teenagers a voice on issues that are important to them.
The members make decisions and lobby on behalf of young people throughout Darlington on a variety of subjects, from public transport and drugs, to summer holiday activities.
The group also works with larger organisations such as the North-East Youth Assembly and the UK Youth Parliament, to make sure Darlington's young people are represented.
Any young person, who is a pupil at a secondary school, college or part of a youth project, and is interested in finding out more about T3 is invited to the Dolphin Centre on Saturday, from 11am to 2pm. Lunch will be provided.
Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council's cabinet member for children's services, said: "The response to the relaunch of the Y3 project was a great success. We hope lots of young people come and find out how they can have their say as we want to listen to their views."
