WORK experience was just what the doctor ordered for a student after it helped to launch her career.
Former Darlington College student Emma Robinson has landed a job at Blacketts Medical Practice.
It came on the back of a work placement for a business administration college course.
The 16-year-old's role of admin clerk includes dealing with medical records, patient notes and audit work.
She said: "I've gone from school to college and straight into employment. I've settled in really well and everyone here is lovely.
"The work experience scheme was great. The college really took the time to find me the right placement and it has worked out better than I could have hoped."
Blacketts patient services manager Janice Wilkinson said: "We have had students in the past from Darlington College and have built up a good relationship with the tutors, so they know the type of student we need."
