DRINKERS in Darlington will celebrate the 28th annual Rhythm 'n' Brews Beer Festival this month.

The three-day festival runs from September 13 until September 15 in Darlington Arts Centre, Vane Terrace.

It will celebrate live rhythm 'n' blues music and real ale.

There will be approximately 50 real ales, ciders, perry and imported bottled beer available.

Bands will include The Revolutionaries, Ray Stubbs R 'n' B Allstars and The Roach Twins Band.

The first day's festivities will run from 6pm until 11.30pm, with entry costing £3.50.

Friday afternoon's free session will be from noon until 4pm. In the evening, the event will open at 7pm until 11.30pm. Entry costs £5.

Saturday's early opening is from 11.30am until 5pm and the final session will run from 7pm until 11.30pm, with tickets costing £3.50.

Campaign for Real Ale and European Beer Consumers Union members will receive £1 off tickets.
