STAFF from a bingo hall became superheroes for a day to raise money for charity.
Three workers from Darlington's Gala Bingo joined senior staff to cycle along the Trans Pennine bike trail. They raised more than £2,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer during the event, which was part of a fundraising campaign. The cyclists dressed as superheroes, including Superman and Spider-Man, for the 90km ride from Leeds to Chesterfield.
Simon Thompson, from the bingo hall, said: "It was a very warm day and hot in the costumes."
