AN ASPIRING chauffeur is gearing up to his dream job.
Richard Gladstone has passed the advanced driving test.
The 38-year-old, who has worked for three years as a rental manager for Sherwoods, in Darlington, now plans to train as an Institute of Advanced Motorists official observer.
He said he dreamed of being a professional motorist.
Mr Gladstone, of Darlington, said: "I used to dream of being a chauffeur, driving Bentleys or Rolls Royces. I just love driving and am certainly in the right job for it now."
Candidates undertake a series of tests, including hazard awareness, observation and car control. The test lasts 90 minutes over about 40 miles.
