AN annual charity duck race was held at Darlington's South Park at the weekend.
The event, organised by the town's Rotary and Lions clubs, raises funds for a range of good causes each year.
Rotarian Alan Charlton said: "We had a wonderful day.
"Lots of people turned up and there was plenty to keep everyone occupied because we also had children's rides, a tombola, a raffle, and the local fire brigade brought along one of their engines for the kids to have a look at.
"It was a very successful afternoon. We won't know how much we raised until later in the week, but I should think we got about £3,000."
All funds raised will be divided between the Great North Air Ambulance and Rotary aid projects in West Africa.
