Given the timing of Notts County's second equaliser Darlington may have left the field feeling like beaten men on Saturday, but goal hero Tommy Wright preferred to focus on the bright side of life.
He is the club's early leading scorer with three goals from four league and cup games and the fact Quakers remain unbeaten should not be overlooked according to the striker.
Wright had given Darlington a first-half lead and they looked set for another victory until the Magpies scored at the end of stoppage time to deny Quakers a third league win in a row.
Wright admitted: "The feeling is of absolute devastation to be honest. It does feel like a defeat. Heads were down in the dressing room.
"We were under pressure for long periods of the second half and worked hard but if we had the ball on the left for just another ten or 15 seconds we would've won.
"After that we had about two or three chances to clear it but the ball ended up in the back of our net.
"But the positive thing is that we're still unbeaten in three games, so it could be worse.
'It's not like we got beat, but it feels a bit like that.
"We're still top of the league so if we keep picking up points we can pull away from the rest."
Darlington now face back-to-back away games, at Macclesfield Town and Rotherham United, and Wright is hoping to continue his blossoming strike-partnership with Pawel Abbott.
Abbott, who had a goal disallowed for handball on Saturday, has two goals this season and he created Wright's opening strike on Saturday - Wright celebrating with his now trademark salute.
"The goals give me more confidence and hopefully they will continue to come for me and Pawel, " said Wright.
"Pawel put the goal on a plate for me. He put the ball in a good position and made it quite easy for me to finish it.
"He is a big lad but he is unbelievable on the floor and the more games we play together the better we will understand each other.
"Obviously it's a good thing that we've both been getting goals and hopefully it will continue."
Referring to his goal celebration, he added: "I've got a few in the locker that will be coming out as the goals go in. I don't want to kill them off too early!
"I think them up during the week!"
