HERITAGE open days will encourage people to visit places of interest in Darlington.
This year's open days are from Thursday, September 6 to Sunday, September 9. St Andrew's Church, the oldest church in Darlington, is playing a leading role in the event.
The church, in Haughton-le-Skerne, will be open to the public during the heritage days.
Several exhibitions of photographs and slideshows will be on display in the church.
The free open days provide visitors with an opportunity to explore and enjoy these sometimes hidden and curious places in English cities, towns and villages.
The church will be open from 10am to 4pm on September 6 and 7. On September 8, it will be open from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm. On September 9, the church will be open between 2pm and 4.30pm.
