A CONMAN operating in Darlington town centre has tricked an elderly woman out of £100.
The incident happened between 3.15pm and 3.45pm in the area around Woolworths, in Northgate, on Saturday. The man approached the woman and, pretending to know her, offered to help with her shopping. The woman was then tricked into handing over the money.
The man is described as white, in his early 20s with blond hair said to be flopping over his face. He was wearing a stone-coloured jacket and grey trousers, with white trainers.
