YOUNG people on a Darlington estate will be able to enjoy some summer holiday fun this week.
Darlington Council's youth service and Zone Active team have laid on a series of games for children aged eight to 16, as part of the town's second StreetSafe action week.
The initiative, organised by Darlington Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, will be running in the Skerne Park, South Park, Victoria Embankment, Clifton Road and Bedford Street areas throughout this week.
It is aiming to tackle crime and disorder problems, but providing events and entertainment for young people in the area is also an important element of the scheme.
Various games and activities will be taking place at Skerne Park Community Centre, in Coleridge Gardens today.
Two sessions are are due to run from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3.30pm.
There will be giant inflatables, a bucking bronco, laser games and large-scale versions of popular games, such as Twister.
