YOUNGSTERS have raised hundreds of pounds for a developing world charity by taking part in a bag pack.
Eighteen young people, aged between 14 and 25, helped with the bag pack at Morrisons in North Road, Darlington.
The volunteers, from Darlington and Sedgefield, were taking part in the v-Millennium Volunteers and the Citizens In Action programme, which is run by the Darlington YMCA Foyer.
They raised £674, which was donated to YCare International, a charity helping disadvantaged young people in the developing world, by focusing on skills development, employment, health awareness and youth justice.
Paul Cummings, one of the volunteers, said: "It was hard work, but I enjoyed it.
"I feel good about raising money for such a good cause"
Citizens In Action and v-Millennium Volunteers thanked the staff and customers of Morrisons for making the day a success.
