ROADWORKS are set to be carried out on five roads at the heart of Darlington for resurfacing work, as well as a country road.

Darlington’s Tubwell Row, Crown Street, Church Row and Feethams will be partially closed during the work period, with Stonebridge set to be shut to traffic entirely.

The temporary closures will be set up at midnight on Sunday, September 3, until 6am on Monday, September 4, and then between 7pm and 6am for the next five nights.

Tubwell Row will be closed from its junction with Church Row to the end of the road at Stonebridge, while Church Row will operate a one-way system.

Crown Street will be shut from its junction with Tubwell Row and to its crossroads with Priestgate and Feethams is also set to be closed from Church Row to its Beaumont Street junction.

Neasham Road, leading to Hurworth, will also be closed entirely for resurfacing works from Monday, September 4, until Thursday, September, 7.

The road will be closed to through traffic from the Strait Lane junction southwards to Hurworth Road.
