ACTORS from a forthcoming production of A Tale of Two Cities called into a Darlington bookstore to read the classic tale.
Daniel Copeland, 18, who has been cast in the comedic role of Jerry, and Samantha Bradshaw, who will play Madame Defarge, spent time in Waterstones to familiarise themselves with the novel.
The two were cast in their roles at recent auditions, which were held in Darlington.
The play which will take to the stage at the Dolphin Centre, Darlington, on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20 but there are still parts available says the production team.
Director Eduard Lewis said he had been impressed with the talented performers who attended the auditions.
He said: “We have cast many of the principal roles within the play but are keen to find some more men for specific character parts.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to be part of something truly special.”
A second set of auditions for people over the age of 16, takes place on Sunday, August 14, at the Quaker Meeting House in Skinnergate, Darlington.
