HUNDREDS of churchgoers attended Darlington's largest ever outdoor service yesterday.
Hymns, readings, prayers and songs were part of the open-air service in South Park, Darlington.
Scores of seats were laid out in front of the bandstand in the revamped park. Hundreds more people took their own seats or stood on the banking around the bandstand.
The service was the brainchild of the Reverend Sheilagh Williamson, of St Columba's Church.
It included readings and music from other churches in the town.
