A MENTAL health charity has been awarded £94,839 to expand its work in Darlington.
The money will allow Darlington Mind to help an extra 120 people with mental health problems in the town.
The award was made through Northern Rock and will provide the funding for a full-time worker to continue the charity's work.
Chief executive of Darlington Mind Gary Emerson said: "We are really pleased that the Northern Rock Foundation has awarded us such a large long-term grant that will assist so many people in Darlington.
"Our project is exciting and innovative in that it asks clients to look at their lives and their mental illness and identifies ways in which both can be improved upon."
