DARLINGTON have today completed the signing of released Swansea City goalkeeper Andy Oakes.
Manager Dave Penney's interest in Oakes was revealed in The Northern Echo on Wednesday.
Oakes has penned a two-year deal with Darlington after being freed by the Swans at the end of the season.
Sam Russell's future remains unresolved, with the former Middlesbrough goalkeeper stalling on the offer of a one-year deal.
But, despite the signing of former Derby County man Oakes, Penney is keen to retain the services of Russell.
Darlington now have three goalkeepers on their books after David Stockdale agreed a one-year deal.
