students have been awarded for their achievements at a presentation ceremony.
All sixteen students studying BTEC first in public services at Carmel RC College, achieved results above the national norm,with 37 per cent of the students achieving a distinction.
The qualification is the equivalent of two GCSEs.
Deputy headteacher Maura Regan said it was a fantastic achievement to pass the course early.
The coursework included talks by the armed services, the fire brigade, police, Princes Trust and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
