THE Quaker Coffee House, in Darlington, has won a regional award.
The pub, in Mechanics Yard, has won the Abbot Ale Perfect Host Pub prize for the Tyne Tees region, part of the Abbot Ale Perfect Pub 2007 awards.
The awards are voted for by the public.
Steve Metcalfe, who runs the pub with Lynda Harland, said: "It is fantastic to know our customers have taken the time to vote for us."
The pair were presented with the award by TV chef Anthony Worral Thompson, television presenter Philippa Forrester and actor Brian Blessed, in Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk.
