CHILDREN got their fingers dirty yesterday - and it was all for a good cause.
Pupils from Borough Road Nursery School took part in a pot planting workshop at the school, with parents also attending.
The finished pots were donated to local homeowners and the residents of the Salvation Army's Tom Raine Court.
The pots were originally bought by Groundwork, the local regeneration charity, and delivered by Darlington Borough Council's Street Scene team.
Street Scene also placed hanging baskets outside the school.
On Saturday, a similar event took place at the YMCA building, with volunteers from the YMCA and Top Deck youth club.
The events are part of Central Ward Action Week.
In The Northern Echo yesterday, we reported the Central Community Partnership was meeting tonight. The meeting was, in fact, held on Monday.
