A TEENAGER is hoping to become one of the youngest people to complete an endurance walking challenge.
Victoria Dalking, from Hurworth, will be one of the youngest people taking part in the Lyke Wake Walk for the second year.
The 15-year-old, who attends Hurworth School Maths and Computing college, will walk the Osmotherly to Ravenscar cross-moor route to raise money for St Teresa's Hospice, in Darlington.
She and her father, Colin, 48, are hoping to complete the 48-miles in 24 hours.
She said: "I have raised money for St Teresa's Hospice when I was younger and went up Helvelen for them. I am really looking forward to this walk."
Anyone who would like to sponsor Victoria is asked to call the school on 01325-720424.
Work by 53 students at the school went on show yesterday, including pieces by pupils who are taking GCSEs and AS levels early.
Five pupils from years ten and 11 are taking AS level art early, and eight year nine pupils are taking GCSEs two years early.
Angela Sweeten, head of art, said: "It is quite special this year because we have got a group of students doing AS levels early. This is a nice finale to the course.
