POPULAR artists and teachers Paul Dillon and Heather Kinsella are presenting their third annual exhibition of new work at Darlington’s Bridge Centre for the Visual Arts.
The artists share a love of walking in the Durham and Yorkshire Dales and this is evident in their work.
Mr Dillon, who was born in the Midlands but has worked in and around Darlington since the 1970s, has produced a new series of large and impressive watercolors on full imperial paper.
These depict tree-lined rocky streams and woods, using wax and oil pastel resist techniques to capture the fleeting light woodlands at all times of day throughout the seasons.
Ms Kinsella is also fascinated by the natural world and specialises in painting ‘what comes from the ground’.
The exhibition runs until January 6 and can be viewed at the centre, at the junction of Yarm Road and Hundens Lane, on Mondays to Saturdays 10am to 4pm.
