THE candidate who will contest Darlington for UKIP at the forthcoming General Election has said he wants to see the UK stop its "appalling waste" of its resources.
David Hodgson, a lecturer in electrical engineering to higher education students, who studied at the Universities of Teesside and Huddersfield said he wants to see improvements in the NHS, high quality care for the elderly and improved quality of life for all.
He sid: " I care compassionately about this country and its people, and I am greatly troubled at the lack of investment over previous decades in the UK’s infrastructure such as the power industry, public services and particularly the NHS and elderly care.
" With my engineers knowledge of mathematics I understand just how prosperous our great country actually is, but I know the UK is haemorrhaging its life blood in the obscene squandering of our valuable resources.
"I want to stop this appalling waste and I have stepped forward to offer my services to my country, so that all its citizens may benefit from vastly improved public services, a superior NHS, high quality care for the elderly and improved quality of life for all our people."
