AN annual charity singing event will be held for the sixth year in a row this month.
More than £15,000 has been raised at previous events, organised by singing coach Viveca Bradshaw.
Various charities have benefited, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Age UK Darlington.
Ms Bradshaw said: "This year the event is for the Darlington RSPCA and the Red Balloon anti-bullying charity, in Newcastle.
"The event, at The Forum, in Borough Road, begins at 1.30pm with a buffet and then singing for my younger students runs from 2.30pm until about 4.30pm.
"In the evening I start again at 6pm with buffet and then singing from 7pm until around 11pm.
"I have over 30 students singing and have sold over 160 tickets so far.
"Our auction and raffle take place throughout the day and we hope to beat our target of last year.
"The event is called Thank You For The Music and it has been a massive success over the years and gets bigger and better each time.
"The students absolutely love doing the event and raising a lot of money.
"We also sang in the town on the November 30 at the Christmas market and raised over £90 for the two charities, by singing Christmas songs."
