ABOUT 100 people attended a glamorous ball to raise much-needed funds for a popular village hall.
Sadberge Village Hall was the venue for the village's annual fundraiser, which included a four-course dinner and entertainment from the funk/soul band, Casual Sax.
Sadberge councillor Brian Jones said the event, which was held on November 29, is held every year to swell the coffers of the village hall.
He said: "It was another sell-out and another excellent night, which was enjoyed by everyone who came.
"It was in the village hall and mainly held to support the village hall, which relies on fundraisers such as this.
"It is important, for the future of the village hall, to hold successful fundraising events."
Fundraising balls in support of the village hall – the former village school – have been held for at least the past decade and look set to continue in years to come.
Cllr Jones added: "The village hall is a very popular venue and hosts many events, it is the hub of the village."
