Darlington have attempted to combat falling attendances by launching a mini-season ticket initiative that for £100 enables supporters to see the club’s home matches in the second half of the campaign and collect a replica shirt.
The package gives fans access to ten of Quakers’ matches at Heritage Park during the remainder of the season, starting with the Boxing Day fixture against Scarborough. They also receive a choice of home or away replica shirt, plus a Darlington FC t-shirt.
The offer expires on Saturday, December 20 with adults tickets costing £100, concessions £80 and children £60.
To purchase a mini-season ticket, supporters must complete a form from Quaker Retail, at Blackwell Meadows, Darlington, or fill one in one the club’s website: darlington1883.co.uk
Quakers are only able to accept cash or cheque payments and fans will receive a voucher to be redeemed in Quaker Retail for the replica shirt and T-shirt.
Attendances have gradually declined since they began playing matches at Heritage Park in 2012-13, but they remain among the highest outside the Football League and at 1,020 the average league gate is easily the largest in the Evo-Stik First Division.
* Mini season tickets are valid with effect from the match against Scarborough on Boxing Day. It will not be valid for a home play-off game, should that be required at the end of the season.
* Availability of replica shirts and t-shirts is limited to those currently in stock.
* Prices for these packages are non-negotiable and comprise all three items, (prices will not be reduced for not taking up the replica and/or t-shirt)
* The offer expires on Saturday, December 20.
The Darlington Supporters Club are appealing for the winner of their most recent 50/50 draw to come forward.
The winning ticket, number 26731, was bought at Quakers’ last home game, against Clitheroe on November 22, and is worth £270. To claim call 01325-243911.
* Gary Coatsworth, scorer of the goal that took Darlington back into the Football League in 1990, appears at a talk-in tomorrow evening at the Railway Tavern, Northgate, Darlington at 8pm. Entry is £3.
Profits will be split between Darlington FC and PIMM Productions, a film production company working on a film, titled Give Them Wings, based on the life of Quakers fan Paul Hodgson.
