A BAND that starred at a charity festival in Darlington is returning to perform in the town next week.
The Jar Family will play at the Forum, in Borough Road, on December 13.
The band, formed of Max Bianco, Dali, Richie Docherty, Chris Hooks and Keith Wilkinson has developed a reputation for supporting charitable events, following a series of performances.
In October, the band performed at the Oxjam Darlo fundraising music festival.
Even the band name is based on charity, coming from the donations jar that they passed around at early gigs.
The sound of The Jar Family, described as ‘industrial folk’, has been heard up and down the country, with recent performances at Oxjam Newcastle, Durham and Brighton to name a few.
For their return to Darlington they’re bringing in local band Vito to support them in the intimate venue, before they embark on a large-scale tour across the UK next year.
The Jar Family play at The Forum Music Centre in Darlington on Saturday, December 13.
Tickets cost £6, visit theforumonline.co.uk
