CHRISTMAS gifts and festive entertainment will be on offer at a market in Darlington tomorrow (Thursday, November 27).
The Christmas market has been organised by the founders of the award-winning Darlington Sunday People’s Market and will feature stalls from around 40 independent traders from across the North-East.
The event begins at 9am in Blackwellgate, West Row and Northgate and is running in conjunction with the town’s Christmas lights switch on, which is being hosted by TFM’s Steve and Karen in the Market Square from 5pm.
Acoustic guitarist John Alexander Grace will be singing Christmas carols at the Market Cross from 11am to 1pm, followed by a performance by St Augustine’s School choir from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and Cockerton Prize Silver Band from 2.30pm to 4pm.
Birds of prey from Walworth Castle will also be making an appearance, and Father Christmas will be spreading festive cheer on High Row from 5.30pm to 8pm.
