CHRISTMAS shoppers can take advantage of a car parking offer from the Cornmill Shopping Centre throughout December and January.

The Cornmill is giving motorists the chance to buy five all-day parking tickets for £10, or 11 for £20 - saving on the usual £5 cost of one all-day ticket.

Vouchers, which are valid from December 1 until January 31, will be handed out by promotional staff in the centre or can be downloaded from the Cornmill’s website and Facebook page.

These can then be redeemed for parking tickets at the centre’s management suite.

Susan Young, centre manager, said: “I hope that parking vouchers coupled with late night openings will help to make the shopping experience a little easier for our customers.”

Savvy shoppers can make added savings in Darlington by using BID company Distinct Darlington’s Little Book of Offers which can be picked up at the Cornmill, the Indoor Market and Dolphin Centre among other town centre venues.

Distinct Darlington is also giving its backing to Small Business Saturday on December 6 to promote Darlington’s independent traders.

During the day the Christmas Wonderland Ice Rink will officially open and there will be a Christmas market in the Market Square, which will then continue to run every weekend in December.
